TWISTED WHEELCHAIR

Berteni Cataluña Causing

CJ Corona defended that dollar deposits need not be declared in the SALN because of foreign currency deposits secrecy law.

...
If that is so, from now on I will require my clients to pay me in dollars or euro and deposit them immediately so that the BIR cannot catch me up for taxes.

Other officials of the government can immediately convert their salaries and kickbacks to dollars or euro so as not to be touched even by BIR.

I cannot understand the logic of CJ Corona.

Besides, there is nothing in the SALN law that says dollar and other foreign deposits are not required to be declared in SALN. To the contrary, the SALN law requires that all actual wealth shall be declared faithfully.
