FAKE KOR TITLES THROUGH DEAL NOT THROUGH MERIT...

Dear Sir/Atty Ralph Bunag,

I read several times your email to Sir Alex Trinidad to find out whether you are "Whistle blower" or an "incorruptible", honorable officer of the KOR Canada Region.

You mentioned in your letter to Sir Alex Trinidad that an offer was promised as the excerpt says:

"re KGOR award, no less than our very own KOR-Regional Commander, Sir Ka Miling Silverio, KGCR, suggested to me twice to attend the international assembly of the Order in Manila and in Czeck Republic so I could get the KGOR award , but I just smiled at him without doing anything about it. To me, my being admitted to the Order is in itself the greatest honor I will treasure for the rest of my life".

Indeed, it's a nicely written letter but at the same time incriminating. That's the way I see. Are your now saying that you were offered KGOR rank and position for no other reason than just attending an international assembly?

Knights have already complained that a KGOR rank is now dispensed like a salt in a cafeteria, but your email confirms that it is indeed cheap and easy to get. Where is MERITOCRACY that any proud member would like to SHOW OFF that he has earned his STRIPE through MERITS?

Sir Ralph, you and I believe that whatever bad practices we do in the Philippines should not be encouraged here on how to get promoted through other means except on merits.

In the eyes of those honest, hard working rank-and-file members, a FAKE rank that was earned through "backdoor promotion" makes that member a FAKE Knight. I do not subscribe to the policy of CARROT and STICK. This is a despicable DIRTY way.

This one paragraph I cited that you wrote is nothing but an "EXPOSE" on the gross violation of getting promotion NOT allowed by KOR BY-LAWS. Will this not contraven to all the lavish praises in your TRIBUTE?

Jose Sison Luzadas, KGOR

Scarborough Chapter

CANADA

Sorry Sir Tony, but if Lazir were in the position of Quiambao, Lazir would do much better, by selecting good names with CHARACTER and INTEGRITY! Otherwise, just like what Sir Joe Luzadas observed, the KGOR (or any KOR rank for that matter) has become like salt dispensed in a restaurant, FREE for the taking, WATERED DOWN to NOTHING of value!

When KGOR has lost its value, the CROOKS will get them fast, easy and in a DIRTY way! Why give it then, if it has no VALUE? And why have it in this organization? Worse, what is HONORABLE at all in such an act as dispensing SALT in a restaurant, or sprinkling the same on the dirt floor?

Now we know why Esguerra was right, when he wrote, "NAKAKAHIYA!", not knowing that it boomeranged upon him!

How pathetic!

Let CHANGES be...!
But keep the BP low...

-------------------------------

First, I must admit that I have not been following all the email threads in detail - mostly because of lack of interest on the subject matter... meaning, I do not personally care either way a thesis or proposal ends up. Sorry but that is the truth - bad boy as always.

However, hopefully I am catching the topic of the emails - and I think we have been going back and forth about promotions and how it should follow the "KOR" way.

Am I missing the point? I do not believe there is a cookbook that is followed on the way to properly promote someone. And if we do, the reality is due to the thinness of the body or KOR membership, we just do not have enough leaders. Most appointed or promoted are people who sacrifice their time to do the job. WE JUST DO NOT HAVE A LINE WAITING FOR ANY POSITION.

But even theoretically speaking, it is a universal truth that merit is not the first criteria used to promote anybody. Each one of us when put in the same position will do the same thing - promote people we are comfortable with.

Regards,
Tony
